About MA Outdoor
Meet Miguel, the Builder Behind Every Project
MA Outdoor Services is a family-owned Charlotte builder of hardscapes, outdoor living spaces, and pools, run hands-on by owner Miguel Lopez for over fifteen years.
Our Story
A Charlotte Builder, Not a Sales Company
I started MA Outdoor to do outdoor work the way I thought it should be done, with my own team and my own hands on the job. Fifteen years and more than a thousand projects later, that has not changed. When you hire us, you get me, not a salesperson and not a team you never met.
I run every project myself, from the first walkthrough to the final cleanup. My team and I build patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, pools, and full outdoor spaces across the Charlotte area. We are licensed and insured, and for work that legally needs a licensed specialist, like gas or electrical on a pool, I bring in a licensed pro and stay on top of it. The goal is simple. Build it right, treat your property like it is my own, and stand behind the work.

Questions
Common Questions
Our own team self-performs the core build, so the standard and the schedule stay in our hands. We bring in licensed specialists only when a project legally requires one, and Miguel stays on top of that work start to finish.
Yes. MA Outdoor is licensed and insured. For work that legally requires a licensed specialist, such as gas, electrical, or plumbing on a pool, we bring in a licensed pro and manage that work directly.
MA Outdoor works for homeowners within about a 20-mile radius of Charlotte. That includes Matthews, Waxhaw, Weddington, Indian Trail, Mint Hill, Monroe, Huntersville, and Concord, along with the Charlotte neighborhoods of Myers Park, Dilworth, and South Park.
MA Outdoor is owned by Miguel Lopez, who runs every project himself. You work directly with him from the first walkthrough to the final cleanup, not a salesperson and not a team you never met.
MA Outdoor builds patios, retaining walls, outdoor kitchens, fire pits and fireplaces, covered patios and porches, drainage and grading, artificial turf, and custom pools. Miguel and the team handle full outdoor living projects under one company, so you are not coordinating separate contractors.
